On the first dive day December 5 we saw two pairs of whales breaching and tail flapping at different locations - probably each pair a mother and calf - between dives. Between dives on December 9 we had a dozen spinner dolphins playing around the boat for 20 minutes until we had to move on to our last dive. They raced in front of the boat and did spinning leaps out of the water. We also saw a very large manta ray from the surface. No pictures, though.

We finished our visit with a concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center: the Steve Miller Band with Dave Mason and Mick Fleetwood. It was quite good! All 60s and 70s music...
